It all begins with an idea. Ethereal Events Luxury Picnics was born out of an idea to have a luxury picnic set up at my home as part of a Spring milestone birthday celebration. I fell in love with the luxury picnic photos I found online and decided to invest in a pop up bubble tent to further ensure our full comfort for party photos, enjoying cocktails, and hors d'oeuvres in the sun. And I figured I’d use the tent setup for any other special event celebrations in the future or as a great gift for friends and family for their special moments.

I started researching decorations and came up with a theme. Once I purchased all of my decorations and furniture, I hosted a picnic for a few friends at Hains Point Park in Washington DC at the beginning of November to test it all out. My friends absolutely fell in love with the idea and experience. We all really enjoyed the fact that we were outdoors with the beautiful waterfront view, felt the warmth of the sun shining upon us, but had all the comforts of being indoors. Most importantly, there were no bugs to contend with while we ate and relaxed! I got wonderful feedback, high compliments, and several inquiries for bookings from my friends and strangers! I was surprised at the interest and was inspired to start Ethereal Events and the rest is history. After what we have collectively endured during this pandemic, we are all in need of safe gatherings with friends and family for one-of-a-kind fun experiences that create cherished lifelong memories!

I am a first-generation Haitian-American, I am a creative, a photographer, and a detail oriented person who is passionate about decorating and entertaining so this business perfectly combines my passions! My desire is to bring people together in a unique way by creating a cozy, safe, and unforgettable experience!
